Back to School with Backpacks

Schools are reopening in Bangladesh after a long pandemic shut-down, and the girls and young women in Speak Up’s Girls Education Program are preparing to return to in-person classes. This month, hundreds of GEP girls received new backpacks to carry their books and school supplies. Despite the global pandemic and so many other challenges, the girls in the GEP are staying in school, pursuing their dreams, and changing the narrative of what girls and women in their communities can be, and can become.
